          Our Chapter proudly promotes this program sponsored by the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation (founded by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society) consisting exclusively of the living Recipients of the Medal of Honor.

          The Foundation is dedicated to educating and inspiring Americans about the six values embodied in the Medal of Honor: courage and sacrifice, commitment and integrity, citizenship and patriotism.  Its living history videos and accompanying lessons teach K-12 students that ordinary people can meet great challenges and make the world around them a better place. 

          The Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation’s Character Development Program is one of the cornerstones of our Chapter's Youth Leadership and Patriotic Education Program.  We encourage educators at all levels to teach these curriculum-based lessons (provided by the foundation at the link above) to include attendance at foundation-sponsored local training opportunities (see section below).  Educators can access these lessons through the foundation's website, lessons written by credentialed curriculum developers, lessons that meet current national and state education standards.

          Lessons from this program are included in the 4-day curriculum at the annual Thousand Oaks Youth Leadership Conference and in many of our Chapter's Youth Leadership Seminars conducted throughout the Los Angeles and Orange County areas.

          Our Chapter actively promotes this program at local schools. Certified Chapter members are available to teach these lessons to students and youth groups upon request:  please contact us at the email address below.
